Which Policy to Choose?

We recommend purchasing the ‘Top Cover’ comprehensive travel insurance. If you are budget conscious, the ‘Basic Cover’ travel insurance is cheaper and provides more than adequate coverage including unlimited overseas emergency medical assistance. The coverage on the ‘Basic Cover’ is often better than other insurance companies (the ‘Annual Cover’ is only for short trips during the year). When comparing travel insurance, it is important to consider the excess. Some other insurance companies have an excess of up to $250 for every claim, taking excessive money out of your pocket at your time of need. See the Frequently Asked Questions below for further details regarding the excess.

Ski racing or professional skiing is not covered

Q. Are my skis or snowboard covered?
Yes. Although not if left unattended or while in use. A police report must be made within 24 hours of the incident for loss or theft and you must obtain a written report.
