“It’s absolutely amazing here. Feeling so blessed to have this opportunity! My employers are like parent/best friends! They have such a family mentality in how they run their business. I get to clean in the morning, then have the whole day off… Following hanging out with the little one teaching him English and having fun with him… Where I get the rest of the day off 🙂
Life is sweet 🙂 Thanks for following up.”
Camille and Hannah and some of the crew in Tignes Christina – 2013 – Working in Val Thorens

“I have accepted the position with the chalet. I will contact Morzine to inform them to no longer consider my application. Thanks very much with your help Craig and I know I wouldn’t have got a job without all your help. I know because I tried last year and got zip – 2 job offers from 3 attempts, and one pretty posh place- couldn’t have been more pumped.”

Adam – 2013 – searching for accommodation in Meribel

“Sorry, I think I must have been jumping up and down with so much excitement after your last email that I didn’t confirm that I received it!
I’m so absolutely thrilled, it seems so surreal actually being offered interviews in all these fantastic venues.
All three opportunities look absolutely incredible and I would be more than happy to work in any of them!
Thanks again for all your help, never would I have previously imagined being in such a fortunate position prior to my trip!”
Less than 1 month later – I have fantastic news- I have been hired!!
I know I’m going to be so happy there, Fabien was absolutely lovely and it just seems to be the perfect environment for me! I also met a few of my future co-workers as well, and we all got along instantly!!
I cannot thank you enough for your help / recommend your service highly enough. Finding a job over here was probably my biggest stress, and without you guys I know it would have taken me much longer and caused much more anxiety! I’ll certainly be sending your website to any friends looking for a similar gap-year experience!
Thanks again for everything!

Zac working in MorzineEdward – February & March 2013 – Bartender/Waiter in Paris

“We arrived at Morzine last Saturday night. Nic and I have a room together in the staff apartment just out the back which we’re really happy with. We have been blown away by the alps so far and we were lucky enough to get up to Avoriaz last Sunday.

The staff here are also very friendly and accommodating. Thanks for all your help Craig! I can tell its gong to be a great 4-5 months.”
Zac and Nicola – December 2012 – Hotel Assistants in Morzine

“This place is amazing! The snow has landed and in full form. Its about 3 feet deep and heading out for a ski on Saturday when Avoriaz opens.Mel and Tarryn working as chalet hosts in Morzine
Julie and Lesley are great, and the chalet is beautiful. We have been driving round the town a bit to get a feel for Morzine. What a pretty little village. Looking forward to getting guests in next Saturday and getting Christmas out of the way.
Thank you for everything so far and im sure if we have any questions we will be in touch.
Take care”
Mel and Tarryn – December 2012 – Chalet Hosts/Assistants in Morzine

“The job is obviously hard work. I also experienced the busiest it gets on just my second night. But it’s good, my co-workers are nice etc. I’ve bought my gear and been skiing twice. Today, bluebird day, was really nice but yesterday untouched powder was on offer, so that takes the cake. Skiing in Europe is certainly different to Australia!
I’ve met Jack, the other Australian, and shown him the ropes at work. Lachlan skiing in Val d Isere and TignesHe’s yet to be hit with lots of work, but he’s settling in fine. We’ve worked out our work rotations etc.
So, all is good, thank you”
Lachlan – December 2012 – Kitchen hand in Tignes

“It’s phenomenal. Great skiing, great people, great work and great party. I’ve got a really nice boss and all the staff are French in my shop. My French isn’t that great. My direct boss is lionnel.
Then there’s people through Craig’s side of town/roommates who r Danish, Swedish Norwegian etc. It’s tiring (even without the party) just skiing, working and acclimatising to the altitude. I have my own bedroom sharing with a French employee who works in another shop. We’ve been hitting up the sports centre a lot too in the evenings. Gym, 4 saunas, 3 spas and a pool were very impressive to us.”
Laurence – December 2012 – Ski Shop in Val ThorensCraig M and Laurence on a night out in Val Thorens

“Studies are going well, its obviously hard being a complete beginner in French but I’m really enjoying it, I reckon I might even come back after the winter.
Couldn’t be happier with the accommodation its worked out better than I thought it’d be. They are great, very hospitable and always willing to help with learning French.”
Seb – December 2012 – Studying French in Annecy

“Thank you so much for your help Ski Jobs France (Craig). Cannot recommend them enough, went well above expectations and found what looks to be exactly what I was after. Looking forward to the start of the season!”

“Hey it’s going great I started work on the 21st and it’s been good so far they really take care of us at the hotel the room is big and I’m on my own and I get 3 meals a day included so its awesome!
Ya I have gotten out 4 times it’s been good! We need the snow badly tho”
Dane – November 2012 – Housekeeper in Tignes

Ben skiing in Val d Isere France“I just wanted to forward you the confirmation and acceptance I have received from Val D’Isere. Also, to thank you for all your effort in getting me this position, it’s been handled very professionally. Truly grateful.
2 months later – Bonjour Craig! Just wanted to touch base and let you know I’ve settled into Paris since Tuesday. J’adore Paris. Really pumped for the season, and busy practicing to get ready from the season.
Cheers, and thanks again
2 week later from Annecy – The lessons are great. My only regret is that I wont be able to stay longer. Really wish I could, the teachers are great, friendly, patient and encouraging. Really enjoying it. The accommodation isn’t too bad either. The cold water ran out in my room, so they changed me to another room. Nice receptionists who are good with my level of Franglais. Haha.

This is truly going to be an experience.”
Ben – September & November 2012 – Musician for 2012/13 winter in Val d’Isere

“Hi Craig,
So I’m sure you have heard from Julie and Lesley by now regarding placing both of us with their chalet. If not, we got that fantastic phone call tonight from them, offering us jobs. I personally just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping us this far. We are both absolutely thrilled and cannot wait to get there! We will be in touch come visa time, and of course if we have any questions we will be sure to contact you.
We both just wanted to say thank you and to let you know how happy we are with the outcome.”
Melissa and Tarryn – May 2012 – Chalet Hosts for 2012/13 winter

“Overall the season was better than expected!!!!! I’ve met amazing people not only from France but from all over the world that I’ll be friends with for many many years!!!! I could not have asked for a better season!
SJF is definite value for money as arriving without a job and living in the Alps could prove to be very expensive. It’s a small price to pay in comparison to what you could have to spend trying to set yourself up. SJF was very helpful in finding my employment and assisting me when my first job didn’t work out. Even while travelling before arriving in France, SJF was always in contact with me and helped to arrange all interviews.”

Lauren – April 2012 – Waitress/Bar Tender

“I am very glad that I went with SJF, my season could not have been better! I would definitely recommend the company!”
April 2012 – Chalet Assistant in Megeve

“Working in France was an amazing experience and would recommend it to anyone. The Ski Jobs France program took the hassle out of finding a job and accommodation while people I met and knew had to fight for both when they got here!”
Kevin – April 2012 – Ski Technician

Q. Was working and living a ski season in France what you expected?
“Yes, very hard work but lots of fun! Loved been able to snowboard 5 days a week. Met so many wonderful people. The SJF Program was Great! Took time out of searching for jobs, found the support wonderful!”
Alice – April 2012 – Chalet Host

“I would recommend the Ski Jobs France program. It’s stress free knowing that you can arrive in a ski town somewhere and know everything is already organised. The season has been good and definitely well worth it. Have loved all the fresh snow over the last month. Having a lot of fun and the work is fine.”
Caitlin – April 2012 – Waitress

“The season has been great – really hard work but by the sounds of it we have had much better perks than most seasonnaires. We would for sure recommend our employer!”
Maria – April 2012 – Chalet Host

“Off piste powder days like today make all the hard work worth while! Things have definitely settled down here and I’m on top of the cooking. Receiving great feedback from my guests 🙂 Having lots of fun on the slopes and I love the community in Les Gets…already thinking about how I can come back next year!”
Alice – 28/1/12 – Chalet Host

December 2011 – “Thanks for the email, the job is going well. Took a couple of days to get used to everything but otherwise no problems. Spent Christmas Day up the mountain at Les Grands Montets and there is some great snow up here at the moment. Have opened a bank account and am all organised here in Chamonix now.
Thanks again”
Caitlin – 26/12/11 – Waitress

“All is going well thanks, we got to cham late november and the hotel asked us if we could help them out and start earlier as they were super busy. We have got into the swing of the job now and are really getting along with the staff. this place is a magnificent part of the world and we are getting loads of snow, we have skied around 4 days already and are having a blast. Thanks again we really appreciate your services, if you wanna put me down for a reference for people thinking of doing ski jobs france go for it.
Cheers”
Chris – 21/12/11 – Hotel Housekeeper

“The first couple of days where a bit hectic as i just finished exams, had post exam parties and then stumbled my way onto a flight to Geneva then a bus to Val d’Isere. The people i am working with seem very nice, am struggling a bit with the French but David is making a big effort to learn and i have started to write down a few phrases and greetings to get me off the ground. It has been perpetually snowing since i have been here so this is a really good start to the season! The resort itself seems very vibrant with a lot a people our age and some good clubs and pubs so i am pretty happy about that!
Cheers”
Michael – 21/12/11 – Ski Shop

“Things have been going great, so far its only been training, getting to know the village and preparing the chalet for the coming guests on Friday. Today I think we get our first day on the hill which we are all pretty excited for. Really enjoying the experience so far, have already learnt so much from driving in the snow to cooking food I never thought possible. The atmosphere is great aswell, really good team and the conditions are great. All the best”
Ben – 13/12/11 – Driver and Chalet Host

“All is going well…Gina and Marcus are absolutely lovely and the training is very thorough. A little nervous about doing it all on my own as myself and the chalet next to me only have 1 driver/help between the two. With time I’ll get there, I’m confident in my cooking but getting prep down in time to have some time on the slopes will take a while I think. Accommodation is ok, not a fan of the bunk bed, but don’t plan on spending too much time in my room and my roomie is lovely so that helps :)”
Alice – 6/12/11 – Chalet Host

“The job and accommodation is working out really well thanks. We are living in le Tigne, Chamonix, right next to the train station which is really handy and not noisy at all. Finally have some snow in the ground here! Looking forward to the lifts opening. Thanks again for all your help.”
Dom and Maria – 6/12/11 – Chalet Hosts/Assistants

“We’ve started work and settled in to our apartment. Val is awesome! The season was a little slow to start but it’s snowing heavily as I write this. Fingers crossed for a good season. Work is fine, we’re on a steep learning curve, but our boss, Thomas, is great.”
David – 5/12/11 – Ski Shop

“I believe the Ski Jobs France program is an outstanding service and will certainly recommend the program to any interested folk in the future.”
Erin – 1/11/11

“Thank you so much for helping me with my cv and cover letter. You did a great job. I have heard quite a bit from some nanny agencies, chalets and a bar. I had an interview yesterday for a chalet position. It went well! Obviously my new and improved CV was well received!”
2 weeks later – “I got a job! yeww! Thankyou so much for all your help.
I ended up being asked to be interviewed by a chalet in Chamonix. They gave me the job the day after the interview and were really excited to have me work there. I start on the 8th of December and finish up around the 14th of April.”
Helen – September 2011

“Ski Jobs France was really helpful and onto it from the word go. Their insider knowledge of how ‘working in France works’, was invaluable. I was really thrilled they found me a great position so quickly and in such an exquisitely beautiful part of the French Alps, near the Swiss border. French Powder, here I come!”
Perth girl – Powder lover extraordinaire! – 24/8/11 – Chalet Assistant

“Thank you so much for all the help you have provided. You answered every question we had and your advice was on the spot. You certainly took the scary part out of the move for us, and set our minds at ease, especially when applying for the working holiday visa. Now we set off to work in the French Alps as a Chalet couple – a dream come true! Thanks again and we would be happy to recommend your services to others.”
